How many places will be empty in February?
Children leaving for school in December leave gaps that show up in February, which leaves little time to fill them if you start in January. Put in your own numbers to see the gap, what it costs each week, and how many enquiries you need between now and then. It takes about a minute, and you don't need to give us an email.

The arithmetic, in plain words
- Empty places in February are your licensed places, minus the children staying on, minus the new children already confirmed. It counts children, not daily places, so a centre with many part-time families will have more daily gaps than this shows.
- Fees not coming in are the empty places multiplied by your daily fee and the average days a child attends. They're before Child Care Subsidy is split out, so they show the full fee the centre would have charged.
- How full you'll be is the children staying on plus the new starters, as a share of your licensed places.
- The term figure is the weekly amount times 10 weeks.
- Enquiries needed use your own enquiry-to-enrolment figure. The weekly pace counts whole weeks from today until 1 February (at least one), so the calculator is built for use between October and January.
To bring in that many enquiries, the levers are the ones in our guides: an open day, answering enquiries fast and tours that convert. Or let us run it: the open day launch is $4,950 plus GST, with ad spend separate.
