Authentic Storytelling for Little Flyers Laurimar

June 12, 20253 min read

Rebuilding Trust, Celebrating Community, and Inspiring Enrolments Through Parent Voices

At EEVA, we believe there’s no better advocate for an early childhood centre than the parents who’ve lived the experience. That’s why, when Little Flyers Laurimar approached us to help boost enrolments and shift community perception, we chose to anchor their new campaign in something powerful and simple: real parent stories.

The Brief

Little Flyers Laurimar, a warm and committed early learning centre in Melbourne’s north, was facing a challenge familiar to many regional services—rebuilding trust after sector-wide scrutiny, and standing out in a competitive landscape. Our brief was twofold:

  • Create a flagship testimonial video featuring current families speaking candidly about their experience.

  • Deliver a gallery of professional photos for website and social media use.

  • Optionally, develop short-form social content from the same shoot to stretch their investment further.

We also used the opportunity to begin filming scripted content for an upcoming network-wide brand video spanning all four Little Flyers centres.

The Strategic Approach

Rather than focus on glossy marketing claims, we let the community do the talking.

We designed the shoot to be as comfortable and natural as possible, inviting a cross-section of parents to speak about their journey—from the decision-making process to their child’s development and sense of belonging.

By weaving together themes that research shows are most important to prospective families—such as trust, long-term staff, school readiness, and community connection—we were able to create an emotionally honest, deeply persuasive piece of content.

Production Details

Filming Day:

We spent a full day on-site at both the Laurimar and Doreen campuses. Our setup included:

  • A two-person crew (director + cinematographer), both with current Working With Children Checks.

  • Carefully lit interviews with 8 parents.

  • Naturalistic B-roll capturing play, meals, routines, and warm educator-child interactions.

  • Drone footage of both centres and surrounds.

Compliance & Safety:

We followed best-practice legal protocols, including:

  • Written parental consent for all identifiable children on camera.

  • On-site staff supervision during filming.

  • Secure, consent-aligned handling of all media.

The Outcome

🎬The Resulting Video

The final video is a 2-minute, emotionally engaging showcase of why Little Flyers Laurimar is trusted by families. It features eight distinct voices, each contributing a key perspective—from a trained educator-parent to a family who chose the centre after touring several others.

Key Themes That Emerged:

  • Trust & Safety: Parents consistently referenced the peace of mind they felt leaving their children at Laurimar.

  • Home-like Environment: Many commented on the centre’s warmth and comfort compared to more “clinical” alternatives.

  • Educator Continuity: Long-term staff were seen as a sign of quality and stability.

  • Strong Development Outcomes: From learning to write names at age 3, to overcoming physical fears—parents saw real growth.

  • Community & Belonging: Multiple parents mentioned the value of friendships, peer connection, and even seeing familiar faces at the local shops.

  • Communication & Visibility: Tools like StoryPark and open educator-parent dialogue made families feel included and informed.

💬 “All I can say is, it’s a fantastic community.”

💬 “There’s never any fault with their communication.”

💬 “He’s talking more, climbing more, really growing in confidence.”

How the Video Will Be Used

The video is ready to be shared:

  • On the centre’s website

  • Via Storypark to current and past families

  • On Facebook and Instagram

  • In digital advertising campaigns

  • As part of the centre’s enrolment and tour follow-up journey

We’ve also provided suggested captions, lower thirds, and content strategy notes to help Little Flyers get the most value out of every share.

Impact & Next Steps

This video is more than just a marketing asset—it’s a trust-building tool. It showcases the lived experiences of real families in the Laurimar community and gives new parents a sense of what it feels like to be part of Little Flyers.

As we continue working with the Little Flyers network, this piece will act as both a standalone promotional asset and a cornerstone of the broader brand identity work in development.
